Happy trolling.

Please tell me at exactly at what age I have no rights any more. That way I can plan my voiceless future and my caring family need not care about me anymore.

I, like you, train (six days a week), so I expect to be of healthy sound and mind long into my years. So, with that in mind, set your arbitory limit.

At the least remember the Koreans in that photo are probably not the ones that eat fast food ( in reference to some of your other posts with which I agree) and perhaps tell people younger than them the evils of Lotteria!

Good for you. I didnt say that thery have no rights. They have the right to vote, no one is taking that from them. They should however look at it realistically. Many will be voting for people dead set on preventing reform and new ideas from taking hold in this country. That will keep the country back for the people who will have to live with the elected conservatives long after the old person has passed on. It isnt a matter of taking their rights. Its a matter of being realistic about when to exercise one's rights. As I said, I dont vote in Canadian elections because its unfair that I should influence the political scene of a nation I dont plan on living in.

Uhh, genius:

Older people don't think that their political opinions are outdated, they think that their opinions are the correct ones. So, how can you expect them to voluntarily give up their right to vote on the grounds that their ideas are outdated, when they reject that very premise? It's like a right-wing person telling a left-wing person that he should recognize that his opinions arw wrong and voluntarily refrain from voting. Would you listen to a right-winger who told you that?

So, do I get some sort of prize for pointing out the fairly obvious flaw in your reasoning?

Yes, they do, and they are wrong. The world has passed them by and its time to get with it. When people tell them the truth, they should listen. I think the Uri party guy was 100%. I am not saying they should give up their right to vote because they have outdated ideas. Instead, they should give up the right to vote because they will not be around to live under the government they voted for. That they have outdated and wrong ideas, is just a side issue.

In Australia, until the day you die, by law, you are required to vote.. :)

Local, state, federal elections, if you're of sound body and mind, you must vote, either by turning up at a voting station or by proxy/mail. Otherwise you'll get fined.. :D

jae.

I like that not because its mandatory to vote its just a quci cash-grab form of taxation for the government to profit off the slackers.

Let's face it the moderate-left and social democrats shouldn't vote in the 1st place

We should not have any influence over things that happen after we die? I'll tear up my will.
