Go with a Korean shoe made by a dedicated runner / ultra runner. BJ Park speaks perfect English and was a BATA rep around the world for years. Now makes his own shoes. Call the number at http://www.ohmyshoe.com/ He'll ship you a pair for 60,000 next day. Tell him David the cnd ultrarunner sent you.

You might also visit The Runner's Club, near Jangjae station in Seoul. http://www.runnersclub.com Helpful staff, real runners and friendly, professional.

Good luck running...

Cheers,

PS. if you do ship over shoes from the States - make friends with someone in the military. They get the shipping free. Best site is Zappos http://www.zappos.com/

those korean running shops are good problem is they dont stock big sizes like over us size 12 shoe or 115 korean size shirts etc, heck even the nike store in itaewon its hit or miss.

op if you're interested in running i'm in a group that runs every weekend and we are starting a beginners group on sundays

My current running shoes.

They're light as a feather and pretty comfortable.

If you don't need help and are looking for a good price, there is an outlet mall at Byeongjeom Station, line one, just south of Suwon. I know for sure there is an adidas store (that's what I got), and I am fairly certain there is a K Swiss, Puma, and 3 or 4 others. Don't remember exactly, as I only got a pair of trail running adidas shoes there.

Anyway, get out the main exit at Byeongjeom, walk up to the main road, head north to the big intersection with the overpass, go to the oposite corner by the light shop, head north up the sidewalk about 100 meters or so, thats the outlet mall. Good prices, good selection.

this might sound stupid, but some of the best places ive found for running shoes (in italy included) is in fashion shoe stores becasue they stock exotic -expensive shoes.
Sometime these are the best running shoes (for example walsh/NB) you would get at home.
