I think embassies are a good example of what happens when one 'business' runs the whole show. They get quite lazy...

On the other hand, can you imagine if they privatised embassies and ran them like franchises? Shocked

Bureaucracies- you can't live with them but you can't live without them...

I think he was pestering the Australian Embassy but your point is the same.

I actually got some direct, quick and polite service at the Canadian Embassy today. That's a first for me.

it was the australian embassy... primarily because i didn't know how i'd go at the chinese embassy speaking english. i didn't even try..

i thought the aussie embassy could give me the how to...

beside the point.. nothing to do with the topic...

i can't see how i pestered anybody if they didn't even answer

just saying that the australian embassy was uncontactable through email or phone for about a month
