I'm married to a Korean, ergo I should never have to learn Korea. So what if I can't communicate with half my family? Besides, my wife should be forced into learning English so I can cry to her, I mean beyatch knew what she was getting into from the get go.

I am guessing you are referring to her taking more control of situations when she is in Korea as oppose to her being reliant on her man in a foreign Country?.... I am looking forward to her taking more of a lead role in Korea though I am not looking forward to looking like a donkey listening to the air because I don't understand much Korean.

As for the learning Korean. I really wish I good squeeze more study time in but unless I have a 3 mth holiday before I go there isn't much chance of competing with the other 6 yr olds reading the same books I am, haha.

I've had a couple of german girlfriends, and I always found it was a good idea to learn to speak only 'bedroom' German.

Perhaps you could start learning some Korean Bedroom stuff, and then trot that out to impress the inlaws. After that, I don't think you'll be getting any more suble (or not so subtle) hints to learn Korean.

Good luck.
