That sounds about right.

No wonder I'm shaking my head so much when I read Dave's.

Yes, but the question about the buying & selling of land was very superficial. It said "Land shouldn't be a commodity to be bought and sold". I voted strongly disagree, which is a rightist answer, but in actual fact I'm strongly in favor of land nationalization, precisely in order to encourage the sale of land to the state (which the state would then rent out to any party willing to pay the tax) - one of the intended consequences being land owned by the idle rich passing into the hands of production. This is a radically left wing concept.

It also would have been helpful to ask a question about hard drugs, rather than just marijuana. Legalize the lot of 'em, I say.

I would also make gigantic cuts in spending on defence.

These answers would have put me a lot further left, but it only asked the usual run-of-the-mill questions, meaning I gave rightist answers to everything concerned with economics, leftist answers to everything concerning people's private affairs, and yes to capital punishment

Gotta love how some people just can't stand other people having a different type of sex than they are. I'm looking at you, TJ.

You lookin at me?

I answered strongly agree to the question regarding consenting adults.

Again, I find myself shaking my head.

That's probably a fair reflection of my beliefs.

Which means that I'm not particularly strong in any direction. I think my posts are equivalently a little tepid. That's one reason I haven't been on here much lately.

It's a really cool way of describing political stances. My high school teacher used the same system in the 80s and I've always hoped it would catch on. It might be an interesting way to categorize subgroups such as Tea Partiers, for example.

I think that I personally am more authoritarian on law and order and more libertarian on personal morality issues and so that is why my number is so lukewarm. Perhaps there's another way to separate these issues politically.

I thought I was more liberal than that, but the libertarian part it pretty accurate.

I think I lost points on the abstract art question. I'm all for music, theater and the arts, but dang do I hate abstract art. What a waste of my time...
