Do they make air cons in the 100,000 won range?

Got onr in my classroom. Got one in my teacher's room. Got one at home. Soon, I 'll get one on the hand phone, just to stay cool when I am talking. Maybe install some in my underwear too.

I kept putting off buying one again and again last year, and eventually made it through the summer without one. But it has been hot this spring, and if that's an indication of the summer before us, I might finally splurge on one.

The only problem is that I'm going to be moving to a new apartment next year. Does anyone know what the installation/reinstallation charges might be? Should I just bear it like I did last summer?

PS - For you ladies (or fellas, for that matter) trying to keep slim, my advice is that you go without the a/c for a whole summer. I lost 3 Kgs with no change in my diet, or additional exercise.

You know who has lots of air-conditioners? Fat Americans.

I'm from near Brisbane as well and was there for those crazy 40 degree days a couple of months ago.

I live about an hour south of you and it is not much cooler here. I like the heat more than the cold and actually like the humidity, although just sometimes it is a little too hot.

I didn't say, you don't need air con, just not that much and a fan does the job. I love seeing the Canadians and Brits melt in the summer here(but I bitch in the winter though so they get theirs back Smile

).

What else should be written in the contract?

How is it possible to make sure everything is included in a contract?
How long would a contract be if employees have to make sure such details are included?

I don't think I'll need it. I enjoy sleeping hot and nude.

Before, I had A/C, but I also had a roomate, so if I wanted to sleep with it I had to keep my bedroom door open, which I wasn't going to do....

Now my place is on an upper floor of a building, so I get a real nice breeze. Won't be necessary.

Besides, A/C is bad for the environment.

The only time I ever really used it was when I was getting ready to go out. I hated showering and sweating before I got to the door.

Back in Brisbane for last summer and it got bloody hot, especially in Ipswich. New town for this contract, so if it gets to hot, off to the beach on weekends. Survived without an AC for 3 years, a couple more won't hurt. Smile

Have yet to take the plastic off of my new Samsung aircon.

I was without an aircon last year until the final hot week of the year. I had mold everywhere. It sucked. Mold was so bad, I had to scrub it off the walls and have the flooring and paper on the walls replaced. Awful.

It was in my contract, but the school never got around to doing it. Worse, they installed a little 4 pyong jobbie for my 16 pyong place. They broke out a corner of a window to do it, and the landlord was really pizzed (I wasn't there when they did it).

By the way, you can usually buy used air cons for cheap and have them installed for under 100,000. Now sure where, but an old job did that for me, and it was fine. Smelled a little like smoke though.
