Vancouver always has a huge festival on Chinese New Year and I always heard it was smaller than in HK

Japan doesn't celebrate LNY, so the prices are not going to go up. It might be a good time to go.

I went to Jeju last year. A lot of stuff was closed, and it was freezing near the coasts. If you want to hike Halla, bring serious hiking stuff because there's snow.

I'm going to Beijing this year. I know it's gonna be cold, but I want to see the Great Wall, and I'd pick cold over hot any day.
