| From what all I've read on here then does it matter if I go plasma or lcd if I wanted to game on these tvs? |
there is so little in it these days, possibly go to a higher end department store where hopefully the screens might be set up a bit better and go see what you 'like'
I'd verge on plasma though, better cinema feel to them. |

i have a 50inch 720p samsung plasma...have to say i got it mainly because i thought motion on lcds didnt look good at all when watching sports like football. i think thats largely better now with the 240hz?
720p looks stunning by the way...much better than on my mates 42 inch lcds but they went for cheapo non brand names so i guess the cheapness is reflected in image quality.
but it wasnt great for a having a computer connected especially for text related stuff and not high enough res for pc gaming...but great for playing movies/tv.
u can get a 50inch samsung plasma for about 900k new. or a 1080p for about 1.2mil. don't worry about your carbon footprint. this place could do with heating up a degree or 2 anyway! brrrrr! |

| i have that model as well and use it for the exact same thing (with the occasional gaming). quality is great. i download mostly plain old xvids, but occasionally spring for a 720p rip. you can notice the difference in quality but the xvids still look really nice. it's also got built in usb playback which is decent. |
