The Amazon app store doesn't function from our Korean phones.
The best ways to get games are:
1) Find the files on google. I usually type "app name + apk + mediafire" as mediafire tends to host most popular apps and offers a quick and easy download. Then just load it via USB, Kies Air (awesome, AWESOME feature) or micro sd.
2) SlideMe market. You can install the app market on your phone and download directly from it or use a barcode scanner to pull apps right off their site. Doesn't have a huge selection and it's nowhere near as polished as google's efforts, but works quite nicely from Korea since games aren't blocked.
3) T-store - last resort. Apps often have text translated to Korean. |

I'm using the Amazon app store on my Galaxy S (original, not 2). Maybe you don't have an American Amazon account? I've never actually bought anything from the Amazon app store, but I've downloaded almost every daily free app since it started. |

Seconded. I use the Amazon market every day. I've even bought several games and other apps. The freebies are normally good, but not always. |

That's odd about amazon. I uninstalled the app, signed up for an account using a US address and telephone number, reinstalled and signed in with my SGSII only to find out I was in an unsupported territory.
Yolshim, you need to drag and drop the files onto your phone or external sd card, then find the .apk file using a file manager (astro is the best IMO) and simply launch the file to install it. You may need to change your permissions to allow installation from untrusted sources. |

Is your SGS2 with SK, KT or LG?
I don't know why it's telling me the amazon store isn't available in my area even using an American amazon account My SGS2 is SK btw. |

Let me (hopefully) clear some things up:
Yes, you can use the Amazon app store, with its free daily app.
HOWEVER
You must have an AMERICAN credit card (or debit card) issued to an AMERICAN address, and register (or turn on one-click shopping) with an AMERICAN address (the address doesn't need to match the billing address for the credit card).
Got both of these?
Log into Amazon, choose the shipping address and your American address, turn on one-click payment with the card that has an American billing address.
Download the Amazon app to your phone, it should be gravy from there.
This may work for accounts in Canadia, too, dunno.
I went through tons of hoops trying to figure this out, hopefully it helps someone.... |
