how do you stay awake for 9 hours not knowing a thing that's being said?
I was so close to falling asleep in some meeting the other day, had to go out to the bathroom and bang my head on the sink. When I came out I asked the translator
"Well he seemed like a nice guy, what was he saying?"
"He was badmouthing your company the entire time"
"Ah right. Coffee?" |

HA HA HA HA HA HA... no.
I guess I wasn't clear. I'm not paid for prep time, but I'm required to be there for that hour (from 2 to 3) anyway and it doesn't take an hour to prep for my classes so I'd just as soon waste that time in a meeting instead of wasting my free time after school.
For the record, one of the new directors of my school speaks English so he held a seperate meeting for the FT's yesterday. It took twenty minutes. Maybe this guy isn't so bad after all?

I've had to go to a few staff meetings. I don't recall a single one that couldn't have been put on paper in a few hundred words or less.
Then, if one has concerns, talk to the boss or whoever. |
