Or you could just put the baby in the fridge. |
That's cold.

I have to give more props to HERB hotel in Nambu.
Ive stayed in the 50 k rooms, but just last weekend the guy and I splurged the 80K for a VIP room and OMIGOD.
-free internet
-huge sofa
-projection tv
-tv in every room...even bathroom.
-toilet room......with a fancy toilet (bidet, seat warmer)
-seperate bedroom
-huge bathtub room.....with dual head showers...and the hot tub was big enough for a 6 person Orgy. Utterly amazing.
Best place ive ever stayed at.....ive even stayed in a 400k hyatt room before, and even it pales compared to HERB. |

How much for a room with a cute little lady in it? |
The cute lady is waiting out in the hallway. Ignore her. She will only make your girlfriend jealous. |

| Reviving a good thread. Anyone else know of nice motels in Seoul, under 50K for a room, close to subway stations? |

| Emerald Motel is 40k, with internet and DVD. Plus, it's a 2 minute walk to Jogno 3-ga station(exit 5). |

I only stay in the ones with a TV/Video and alot of porn and a box of tissues.
Room is a room. Also long as the bed if comfy. Try not to stay too long in a hotel room. |

Yeah a room is a room, why waste money on hotels when you get what you need for half the price : a bed......but each to his own.
If you get stuck at Incheon Airport there is a fairly new yeogwan in Airport City only 10 mins away. The guy came and picked me up within 15 mins of calling, and he gave me a lift back to the airport in the morning so I could catch a bus, and all for 30,000 won. And its a decent place. I forget the name, but I just asked at the tourist desk in the terminal....its the first one they recommended! |

..or if you're a man on a tight budget you could just sleep in the Sauna- 9,000 I think.
As for staying in a hotel too long, I think out of the past 18 months I've probably spent about about 15 months living in a hotel- help me people! I've forgotten what a full size bottle of shampoo looks like! |

Might be heading back for a few day jaunt this coming (Korean) winter (2004/2005), so this thread caught my eye.
Please keep the recommendations coming. I'm particularly interested in the not-so-seedy places that won't knock on your door asking if you want girls.. :D
No cap, but around the 50k mark would be great. Seoul motels would be great too.. :)
Thanks in advance.

| Stayed in a great one near Janghanpyeong the other night- 60,000, got a jacuzzi, big screen tv etc. Was told by the friend who reccomended it that it was like the Hyatt, without thethick carpets, and the high price. |

I dont see the point of an expensive room. I'm only gonna get drunk and if i threw up in it...
Maybe if I was staying there for a few days or something. I'm more of an outdoors person. |

I stayed in the herb hotel last week and reccomend it, however there is a better place near it for the same price. Go past Herb and take the first left and walk for a minute and you will see the Piano motel. 50,000 a night and you slightly bigger room than herb plus massive flat screen tv, dvd, internet access and jaccussi. Plus flashing multicolored lights. A few friends coming over next month and recommended it..decent love motels are way better value than regular hotels and you have the convience of locating anywhere in the city. Also stayed in the GF's place in those superville towers beside Nambu bus terminal. Jesus...sunken living room, cinema room, 5 bedrooms and a massive balcony. Having just come out of a goshiwon across the road, it was quite sobering. |

my personal rule was that any room had to be under 20k a night. i was also told that any room over 50k a night was a "bad" hotel in the "girls included" sense.
standard for 20k was a queen sized bed, tv + vcr, private bathroom. they would also clean my room during the day.
i stayed at a 100k/night hotel in jeju for my honeymoon. nothing spectacular. bed was rectangular instead of round, linens were nicer, bathroom had a bathtub. the only real difference was i could gamble downstairs. |
