Yes, Chusok, solal and some other national holidays if they fall during the week.
But to get real vacation days.....good luck.
I know some schools offer these, but then when you try and take them you're in for a battle. |

| Nope, most say "13-15 national holidays off and 10 days of vacation, 5 in summer and 5 in winter" pretty much verbatim. Seollal and Chuseok don't happen in July or December, last time I checked. |

Ah yes, as I said before, they say that in the contract..
but try and take them and watch what happens. |

| The offers that I've been getting so far, even if they have 10 days vacation, won't let you take more than 3 days consecutively. I don't want to go on vacation to another part of Asia for only 5 days! This is really frustrating me and is unexpected...when I lived there last time everyone I knew could take a week off twice per year. I guess I will just have to hold off and wait for better contracts... |
