I have been to HK 3 times within 7 months from Korea.
I noticed that nobody mentioned any clubs for the night life.
Check out: Club Beijing
It is a super club, and pretty much everyone speaks english in there! |
I guess Lan Kwai Fong is the place for nightlife, eh? |
Yes! |

| Last time I was in Lan Kwai Fong in July 2009, I paid around 9,000 won for a pint of some beer. The overall atmosphere wasn't too good, either. |

I'm confused about the person who mentioned the three pronged plugs. I lived in Hong Kong for a year, and pretty much everywhere used the three prongs. In fact when I returned for a week last month, they gave me a three pronged adapter for my camera. But the sockets leave room for other types (I think) so you should be fine.
As for the sights it depends what you want to do. Shopping, I'd head to the Night Markets in Kowloon and for clothing Causeway Bay has a good selection too. You should definitely go to the peak, and Victoria Harbour. The night show is a bit lame, but the harbour does look great at night time.
You should alo head out of HK and go to the islands and beaches. Cheung Chau and Llamma island can be accessed from the central ferry piers, and have awesome seafood. Likewise Stanley Market is good for shopping, and you can stop off at the beaches before hand. Deepwater Bay is on the way I think. The bus routes to Stanley are also pretty spectacular.
Oh, and Lan Kwai Fong should be visited for nightlife for sure. Beers can get pretty steep with the prices, but its the one place to go to for a good time! |

| hong kong uses british-style plugs on their electronics. Typical two prong circular plugs as used in most of asia will not work without an adapter. |
