Thanks

Yes, anymore info? My friends are starting to think I`m crazy for suggesting we do this when there arent alot of details to be found! Someone said they went with a group of 20 last year or something, is there a meetup group or something organizing this event?

Also, a few more questions.

Do we have to pay to camp there?

Can ice be purchased anywhere on the island? If people bring their own food I was wondering how you keep it cold!

There is a group called IFX on Facebook that does tours. Their tour will be in June and it usually attracts a lot of people. However, you will be sleeping in a motel.

Camping is free anywhere on Deokjeok.

We have asked the locals about ice. Sometimes they have it and sometimes they don't. I bring a big Coleman cooler with wheels. I load it full of ice, steaks and beer.

The May long weekend is the traditional mightey whitey exodus to the Deok. So, I would expect lots of people to be there. The June, IFX, trip will be mostly newbs who can't get around Korea without a babysitter.

I thought Samsung was turning Seopori beach into some kind of resort or something? They'd started doing something to it last time I was there. Sad really.

Samsung is doing absolutely nothing to Seopori Beach. The picnic tables behind the beach as well as the rental marts there were rennovated. A big improvement.

As for this year, the trip will be on the long weekend at the end of May. Weather should be nicer. For those who want everything laid on, check out the IFX Facebook group. They will arrange tickets, accomodation and even western breakfasts on the island.

Moreover, the new "Cheap Shots" foreigner owned bar in Bupyeong will be transpanting itself onto the island for this trip to sell pints of 7Brau IPA and Pilsner on the beach.

I thought Deukjuckdo would be a nice gettaway for me and my gf. I went there about 3 years ago during the long holiday in May.

I don't mind drunken partying on the beach, but where I do draw the line is when being drunk and acting stupid affects other groups of people. My gf and I were riding our bikes along the trails and a group of drunk foreign guys thought it would be funny to shoot Roman Candles at us.

That Island used to be a nice getaway from all the crowded Korean beaches, and a place that only a few foreigenrs knew about. Now its turning into Mudfest.
