Best memory I have at Club FF was when Oriental Lucy played and she kept lifting her skirt... Shocked I couldn't see- my gf and I had our own private corner Cool

Worst memory is when a bunch of Indians surrounded my crew because they wanted to dance with the girls... Some had their hands in the wrong place and had to get pushed away- but nothing more than that!

Pretty funny (not in a ha-ha way) - Saturday night/Sunday morning I saw an altercation between a group of three foreigners (two girls and a guy) and a bouncer outside Club FF. It was about 3:30 am, and the girls had apparently taken umbrage with something the bouncer had done or said. One of the girls said, "What is this? Africa?" - but I'm not sure the context.

The bouncer told them to *beep* off, he told them to *beep* off, one of the girls put on sunglasses, they told him to *beep* off, he gave them the finger, some other bouncers intervened, they yelled at him some more, he spit near them, then he spit at them, then he walked away and it looked like sunglasses girl tried to hit him.

It seemed like it was about to spill over - a few onlookers looked shocked, pissed off and about ready to intervene and then cooler heads prevailed and it fizzled out.

It always seems like there's a fair amount of drama that plays out in front of FF every Saturday night.

True that, every time I pass by there's something weird happening. That being said, I haven't been to FF in a while -- lots of talented street performers around Hongdae and a few "bars" that occasionally have good live music without all the grime and dirt.

I'm dating the head bouncer of the hongdae area. The bouncers are decent guys, they will only finish what you started Cool . Just so you know they are all ex or current athletes and you won't win, so don't be stupid!

FF is a crappy [Mod Edit]. They used to have an "all you can drink"+ cover promotion. Read: an eyedropper of gin in a dixie cup. Spend your whole night lining up for the equivalent of a normal drink, or just go to a proper bar.

It attracts the worst kind of [Mod Edit], posers, [Mod Edit], and rebels without causes. Of course, if you fall into this category, you'll feel right at home...

Pssshh.... Heard both FF's and Gogos is run by gangsters/org-crime connected with the entertainment agencies in Korea. Seen foreign nationals (teachers and just tourists) get their heads slammed to the ground. Seems like the fights always end up to the street where all the bouncers then run back into the bar while the guy in the suit distracts you and someone calls the cops (which won't do anything).

...Korea has athletes? Rolling Eyes

assault is an illegal offence in Korea and taken very seriously.
If doorman/bouncer even touches you aggressively you can sue him.
EASY as that, if he puts a hand on you and forces you out, you can sue him.
if he hits you.. OHHH MY, he is screwed!
if possible have a friend record the incident , pick yourself up and walk to the police station and have him arrested. the bouncer will be arrested soon as you press changes, so his night just become a nightmare, he will be finger printed, charged with assault, the evidence will be submitted to the prosecutor and the prosecutor will charge him, under law he has too.
or the policeman will ask you to accept an apology from the bouncer.
of course you should refused it!
simple. IT"S ILLEGAL TO HIT PEOPLE! bouncers are not people who are given special passes by the government. they touch you.. you do them legally.
don't let them get away with assaulting people.
just remember, NEVER touch them, or hit them first. and have a friend record it of you can.
the bouncers will lie through their teeth to the police, but you only have to produce the footage, and then the cop will take your side and scold the korean guy for lying.. trust me.. the law is the law..
and assault is assault.
why do you think, Korean bouncers don't throw out koreans and smack them in the head? because a Korean guy would walk his ass straight down the cop shop and sue the bouncer and the club! and he will win!
koreans know that the game.. bouncers think Foreigners don't know it..

funny. i always considered sheena and the rokkets a watered down, female fronted copy of the ramones.

how is this not a ramones song?

they were also very trendy and deteriorated into new wave crap as soon as the clock struck 1980

but i agree, better than the rock tigers. i just wouldn't make the comparison...other than having female singers.

I don't hear that as a deterioration. Her voice is annoying in both tracks, but the synth-inflected instrumentals in the 1980 track are a lot more distinctive and interesting. It would be nice to go to a live gig in Seoul and for once, hear something that has, you know, melody... (even if originality would be too much to ask) instead of the tuneless, lo-fi attempts at 14th-generation indie rock, especially from those amateur expat 'bands'.

i was never a fan of overcrowded places back home and in korea i try to avoid going to clubs/bars. large outdoor gatherings of people in korea tend to be already messy during daytime. how much more so at night when everybody is drunk.
