| At times, I'm the PPT game monkey, and at sad times, the work-search monkey. I try and do my job, ie: facilitate speaking practice, but sometimes, like if there's a major classroom management problem, I use a LOT of really easy worksheets because then I don't have to face the impossible task of trying to get students' attention, failing, and feeling CRAZY NUTS. Sorry about the caps, but that's how it is sometimes. |
One of my co-teachers now said he worked at a previous school in which the waygook monkey only used word searches classic slaker move. I take my hat off to him. Have you ever seen the slaker monkey that goes on youtube. You can tell by listening to his laboured sounding voice that he's really used to talking over a hum of noise. He talked about idiotic games like the chocodile game. He's always chewing gum too. He has all kinds of short clips of him demonstrating the latest chalkboard monkey game. It's like he hasn't discovered powerpoint yet. Someone seriously needs to direct this guy to deubels site. |

| The Korean teachers don't seem to know about Deubel's site and they think that you work really hard on those powerpoint games. I make sure to change up the questions but since I'm using the templates, not much time goes into them. To add more content to the class, I do present some kind of topic with a handout and if they've taken a look at the handout and paid attention. they will get the answers to the ppt game. |

How about the respected-by-your-school-without-being-a-monkey option?
Though I do feel very sorry for those great teachers who end up in a situation where their talents go to waste due to controlling co-teachers or schools. |
How did you swing that? Have dogmeat with your principal. I did that once all my problems magically disappeared. |
lol.
i met a few boe officials and my principal at a local sauna. we had dinner and hit the singing room afterwards. |
I guess I got lucky. I initially had a great co-teacher and had the freedom to develop my teaching style. My next co-teachers were equally supportive.
It definitely helps to enjoy drinking and playing sports with the male teachers. |

| I'm a dancing monkey, and I love every minute of it. Plus, I get paid a pretty penny to actually just sing and dance for a few hours a day. |
