This posting is for the other culture town in Ansan. Ansan's a cool town down by Suwon.

Hoju, were you able to see or talk to the folks who were running the place in Ansan? I might go over and talk to them. I've finished my year hear in Ansan and may have found a better teaching position in Seoul, though.

I can't make up my mind whether it sounds like some perverse acid nightmare full of smiling white faces running through the same role play 20 times a day, or a really good way for koreans to learn english in the most natural way available.
It kind of reminds me of both the film "Westworld" and the Simpsons episode where they go to Itchy And Scratchy Land. |

yep. they arrive monday morning and check through "immigration" with their "passports". on friday night there is a farewell bonfire session.
not sure what happens on weekends.... some teachers will work then so there must be some students about.
the prospect of a government job is appealing to me. seems to be more stable than a hagwon. |

From the students point of view at least it sounds like an absolute blast- actually I've been won over with this image of immigration- the glass is half full. |

I bet the area will become a "no man's land" in just a few weeks(right after some exhibitions are done). |
