Your box should be a computer. I'm not being an ass, dual monitors are absolutely amazing. I set mine up for the first time around 5 years ago and I'd feel horribly constrained going back to a single monitor setup. If you want to use the tv for something other than the computer, it doesn't affect the other monitor at all. I have a 23" monitor and a 42" tv. The girl loves it and I can play SC2 on thewhile she watches her downloaded tv shows on the tv.

To your question, yes again, there are a slew of wireless devices out there that do what you are asking. More or less they make your laptop transmit the signal wirelessly to the TV. I have never seen one of these in action though, so I can not speak to the quality of the video you would get. |
I had a mommitsu DVD player that could play files over wifi. The speed was horrible and media was unplayable. I had to use a wired connection to get decent performance. That was a ling time ago though; things could have changed.

Don't assume because it has USB you can plug in a hard drive. |
It's designed this way because USB sticks are all still fat or fat32. Most of us (aka windows users) are using NTFS. |

I got my dual monitors set up and I can't do what you just mentioned above. When I play the game, if I try to start a video, something will crash. The game (it's an exercise "game") kind of takes over the video, and wants it all for itself; no other video can run, even on the other monitor.
Are you, by chance, running your two monitors on two video cards? Or are they two monitors out of a single card build for two monitors? I read some online reviews saying it was really hard to gt two-separate video cards running on a PC, that's why I ask,

I've actually done both. I prefer 2 cards, but 1 card can work fine (and it's what I'm using now). The problem you're having right now seems to be because the game is launching in fullscreen mode. Playing a game in windowed mode usually fixes these problems. Newer games (such as many Blizzard and Steam games) support a "fullscreen windowed mode" that looks like fullscreen and acts like a window, which is the best solution in my opinion.
Many games can be run in windowed mode by either changing some options or using the -windowed command in the shortcut or exe file. Adding a -noboarder command can eliminate the windows boarder.
Edit: I should mention that -noboarder does not work for a lot of games (especially older ones). Windowed is your best bet. |
