They will ask for one. I had a ticket out on one of the ferries to Japan, they didn't ask to see it. So you might consider using that to get in to Korea. Although you should get the job in your own country first then go to Korea on an E2 Visa. There is no reason for you not to do it this standard way. Plenty of recruiters for other Hogwons and public school positions that don't use EPIK or GEPIK.
