What pay should I have got for April - pro rata question

Yes there were other deductions:

Medical and Pension = 90k + 60k.

But no tax deducted.

The Gross figure on the payslip said 2.4 million. i.e. 2m for the month of May and .4 million for April.

How so?

They said they will deduct the tax at the end of the year. They have to "study" the agreement between Ireland and Korea.

The .4 million for April is very close to alright, but think it's short by maybe 60,000. Which isn't a lot of money, but it's the principle. I earned it so it should be mine, no?

You were certainly underpaid according to the facts you have presented here.


At 2 mil per month, your April pay for 5 days of work should have been:

5/21 x 2,000,000 = 476,190 won

You should do the computation on paper and ask for a correction. If they are honest, they should give it. But, 400,000 is such an even number, maybe somehow they thought you worked four days at 100,000. So, be friendly and curious about this, not beligerent. It could be some mistake or misunderstanding.
