The duty currently levied on imported whisky is 'only' 20% of CIF, which won't be abolished overnight but will be phased out by 7% decrease annually over the next 3 years.
Liquor tax rate of 72% on distilled spirits will remain the same, and so will the extra 30% 'Education Tax' - don't even ask - not to mention 10% VAT that is always there.
Don't get your hopes up too much just yet. |
