***EDIT***
Thanks for the replies. So there ARE other teachers here! I was beginning to wonder! haha!
|
I wondered the same thing when I first got here, now I see other forigners all the time. |
Now if I could only talk a few of you guys into playing some damn B-ball, everything would be just as sweet as pickles on a pizza.

You might deny it, but I know you're trolling for mad hunnies at your current place of employment; and this post just gave it away.
PS - Yesterday I asked my nephew which movie he liked better: Emanuelle 4, or Playboy's Voluptious Vixens. He told me Emanuelle, because at least that one has a plot.
Then we smoked cigarettes behind the 7/11 and I bought his friends some beer.

What time do you usually play? Me and a buddy go down to the courts on the Tancheon near Jeongja station occasionally. But lately groups of 8+ ajushi's show up and bully us off the court. "we play now you go". |

There are a few of us from the Jeongja area here.
There is a pub quiz that goes on every two weeks. I am running the next one. If anyone would like to know, let me know. |

Cool guys.
Jack, I work at Jang Tae Hun school. I live next to the Family mart. Sorry don't know the street name, ha! I still get the Korean names mixed up. I need to take some Korean lessons after I start getting paid so if any of you know a good teacher let me know!
Sparkles and nateyb, I am game for b ball or pub quizzes although I am probably terrible at both. Just PM me where and when and I will at least give it a try if you don't mind a noob. |

Thats really weird. You're obviously replacing the teacher that replaced me. As I worked at that school about a year and a half ago and lived in that apartment next to Family Mart. I wouldn't knock it, its pretty decent compared to alot of apartments other teachers get. You'll also be thankful its a half-basement during the summer since it stays pretty cool down there, except on the hottest days. |

Jack,
Haha, I'm not knocking the apartment at all!!! It's actually not bad, everything works, and the landlord seems nice too. And I don't mind small, its easier to clean! The only thing I don't like is that my window looks out onto a concrete wall since I am half below street level. But, hey I can't have everything perfect! Best of all, its free. So I'm definitely not complaining. |

Am I wrong in assuming Bundang and Hanam are close by?
I'd be up for meeting new faces.
Unless of course this is a GUY thing, then I'll just move on... |

You can get the hot water to work? I tried every configuration possible and could never get more than 5 mins of hot water for the shower before it went ice cold. I'd have to turn the tap off and wait two minutes then try again for another 2 mins of hot water.
BTW are you the only teacher at the school now? He always ran with 2 foreign teachers there. |

Anyone who loves Stand By Me and Say Anything as much as I do must have a little GUY in them -- or perhaps it's vice-versa. In any case, you are most surely welcome, doll-face.
