Complain in person. I ordered a pizza on the new site, and silly me, forgot to oduble check if it was delivery. Had to go down and pick itup (on the plus side, carry out gets a 30% discount).

Anyway, the manager there speaks English and I complained to him about it. Just be friendly and tell them that there are plenty of other pizza places around, and they'll get the message.

the manager has no say in having an English version of the website.

Sure he does. You complain to the manager, he passes it up to the area managers, and up the chain it goes. Enough people complain at the store level, it will work it's way up the line.

An email is easy enough to ignore and delete. A customer telling an actual person "I don't like this and am going to take my business elsewhere" is a bit more difficult to ignore.

Things don't work like that in Korea. In Korea, you tell the president of a company about this and it works its way down. Good luck finding the president of Dominos Korea.

So, I figured it out. They have programed their website to automatically delete non Korean writing. I mean isn't that kind of pathetic? Trying to censor us before we even get the chance to speak? I guess they really don't want our business! Guess I'll have to go to Pizza School or another just to spite them.

I just left a message in Korean and it stayed up. I have basic Korean ability. So, those pricks can put that in their pipe and smoke it!!! (But not good enough to do anything detailed.) It's this kind of crap that really makes me want to get fluent so I can argue with those dudes in their own tongue!!!

Actually, my first comments stayed. But I deleted them and rewrote them in another space. Even with being written in Korean, they're being erased now too. Website adminstrator just doesn't like people with non Korean names. Guess I won't buy from them ever again.

It seems like some people are taking this way too seriously. It might be worth complaining if they were refusing to sell pizzas to foreigners, but that's not the case at all. Foreigners can join and place orders on the website (in Korean).

Does Dominos in your home country offer a version of their website in Korean? I highly doubt it. Also I bet if you called the Dominos call center here in Korea and spoke only English they would be able to find someone who could take your order. Try calling Dominos back home and trying to order in Korean....

There are problems for foreigners registering at some Korean websites. This is not one of them. Pick your battles people. If you're going to complain every time you aren't offered English service in Korea you're going to be complaining a lot. Learn Korean or learn to deal with it.

For Papa Johns, they usually have Online Order discount, upwards of 20%. Considering how much their pizzas are, its a substantial discount.

When I see an online special and I feel like eating Papa JOhns, I call them up and let them know that I can't register on the site because I'm a foriegner and I want the discount. They will give me the online price with a phone order.

The issue is not that they DON'T have a website in English - it's that they DID have it in English and they got rid of it. My question is "why." I have no problem using the Korean version of the site, and you can register with a foreigner ID number. But why, when they had a site in English that worked fine, did they get rid of it?

I think it's a pretty simple matter. They did a complete website overhaul and they just haven't gotten around to making an English version of it yet.

The English site corresponded to the old Korean site. Now there's a new Korean site but they haven't made the matching English one. I bet they'll get around to it eventually.

And, yeah, the English site didn't let you pay in cash (Gee, I wonder why...) and had a baffling credit card system, so I always just used the Korean site and paid cash.

I still don't think it's a big deal at all.

I don't know what the reason is, but I can speculate. Perhaps the English version didn't attract enough business to justify the cost? It's not as if they can just set up the English site once and it will work forever. Websites are constantly changing, new menu items and promotions are added, and as this new content is added it needs to be translated. The graphic designers often have to make two sets of graphics (some words are longer in Korean than English or vice-versa and don't fit into the same spaces.) Maintaining a site in more than one language is a lot of extra work. And all of that work costs money.

Or maybe they just hate foreigners... Rolling Eyes

it's annoying, but even if you're korean is super limited it's not too hard to order.

choose 배달주문 then select your address 선택. if your address isn't setup then hit 매장 등록하기 and enter your address. choose what you want, and then just keep hitting next.

i think the website was overhauled so that it could work on smart phone's/non-explorer browsers so you shouldn't have trouble if you're using ff or chrome (i ordered on chrome).

I think what had me annoyed was having an English site and then taking it away. What really ticked me off was when I posted a question about it and they instantaneously deleted the comment. It's like they made a decision and didn't want to hear any dissent. I really hate that kind of thinking!

Anyways, I guess they did eventually get back to me and state they will get an English site up in August. The squeeky wheel gets the grease. So, now it's a moot point.

When was the last time you called any place of business with an automated phone system?

"Para espaol, oprima el dos."

How many different languages can you VOTE in in America? 10? 20?

How many can you vote in in Korea? I'm guessing 1.

And if a Spanish speaking immigrant were to whine that they couldn't find information in Spanish your reaction would be?
