| Thanks for the info! It works for me, except when I try to save that setting, it says it can't. So, every time I switch away from Disney and back again, I have to go through all those steps again. Better than having the English gone forever, though. Maybe my wife can call them up and see why it's not saving that preference. |
I posted the same thing on the general forum. My wife's cousin works for C&M and I've asked him to look into it. Then again, I asked him to look into English getting dropped and he never got back to me on that . . . |

Here's your answer d.m.

The article claims all programs are still available in English but my cable TV provider says English is not available. So typical of Expat-life here.
@ryanbrezzi - You make a valid point. Thanks for the reminder. However, we don't live in the woods 24/7 and The Disney Channels were an invaluable tool for reinforcing / recycling language. |

Confused Canadian was right about the language change option. It works for all the programs that were originally in English, so not Dibo the Gift Dragon or Pororo. However, the setting doesn't seem to be saved and needs to be reset again and again for C&M. |

There's no "or" about it. There is no reason people can't watch TV sometimes and also do outdoor activities. And, I can't really think of a time when it was in fashion to take small children on mountain hikes in torrential rain. |

I tried it last night for Mickey's Club House (presumably originally in English), and no dice. Kept getting the error msg.
Daughter was all kinds of pissed. |

When my wife called C&M, they said they were aware of the problem and were working to fix it. They also said that their phones have been ringing off the hook about this whole matter. |

| That actually makes me happy. I want companies to know that when they make changes like this, they'll have an impact. |

Next up: "It may be out of fashion, but instead of grabbing dinner to go, you could cook you child a full meal from scratch everyday."
or
"It may be out of fashion. But instead of worrying about your child's commute with gas and all, you could purchase a horse and teach them to ride to work like a proper lad or lass of their station"
Good ideas if one had oodles of cash and time and perfectly obedient kids. |

| You should look into getting the Skylife satellite package. I have all the aforementioned channels and they are all in English -- Discovery, Disney, Animal Planet etc. I pay about $50 per month. |
Problem solved. |

Are you serious? Well there goes that idea.

The wife works for Skylife, she confirmed it last night. She said they have been getting alot of complaints from Koreans and English speakers about it.
I seriously doubt that will change any decision they made to broadcast the dubbed Korean versions of shows..but you never know. |

Update: Skylife is working to resolve the problem as well. The wife told me that people from all over were complaining, from expats to Koreans. |

Well then, problem on its way to being solved.
You can also pay and get satellite TV with the channels you wish if it is critical to you (I know it can be for parents of mixed kids).
You can also watch english shows via the net as streaming. If you haev a decent tv you can hook up your laptop with hdmi cables and watch streaming from the net on your TV. |
