Are you the only one in the room? If so, walk out, say 3pm. If no one says anything, repeat. Then earlier. In my experience if you ask, you'll be denied; but if you just do, nothing will happen.

5 years at public elementary with renewals. I did that from year 1.

Don't get me wrong. I like my school. They've been overall great for the years I've been here. And that means a few good principals in a row, a few good vice principals in a row, and I'm now on my third good supervising co-teacher. I know that means I've dodged a lot of bullets, but I'm not blaming the school for this latest bit of micro-management. I blame over-reaction from higher ups.

Who's Your Daddy?: The policy letter mandates charging vacation days for the dates that you're not at school during the break. Also, said policy letter specifically stated the reason for this crack-down is "Some principals letting their NETs leave early is causing conflicts with other NETs."

Tough loss there Cali.

Its always bound to happen especially when threads like this role around. There are plenty of teachers in this country with good jobs and good working situations. Its shitty that it back came on you like that.

You are not the first and you wont be the last; this I am sure of.

If you have a good thing going, shut your trap and gloat on the inside.
