A contract is called "a rough outline of the working situation not to be taken seriously". |
This hilarious, yet sad, and yet true all at the same time. |

| Could an employer discover that you previously had a visa issued to you through them? |
When I was in Japan, I would work part-time with my sponsor school, and then they allowed me to get other work to earn full-time pay. I would do about 2 other private schools for about 6 months and go to another, but always continue teaching at the sponsor school. I didn't know about the one school rule in Korea when I first came. So, I left my first school in Korea after 6 months under mutual agreement and put the second school on my resume when I went to find a third school (for my second year in Korea).
That's when I found out about the rule, and I was worried immigration would compare my resume with my passport or ARC card and see that I didn't transfer locations or work 9 months as required at the time (now it is 6 I believe). Nothing happened. I even went through a recruiter and they didn't feel it was a problem. I used a recommendation letter from the school in Japan also. |

While you're thinking it over you might apply to a Taiwan public school. They require ESL teachers to be licensed, so they will like you. |

The cynicism is not too far from the truth and it's getting to be that way in the West as well. |
