The Keystone Kops have more credibility than Korean police!

What holds korean society together exactly? I still haven't figured it out.

I mean when you have kids allowed to get away with absolutely anything and never punished (hogwons) followed by adults who are allowed to get away with anything, what is to stop complete chaos resulting? is it the threat of ancestral disapproval?

I mean I have seen drunks fighting i the street yelling at K-cops to back off. Who did exactly as told.
I've seen women kicking male police officers in the chops..and they just back away.
I've seen police pretending not to see crime happening right under their noses. Literally turning their heads and walking the other way.

I don't know if it's that simple.

Look how tough the laws are on guns and drugs here. I bet not having those two cultures on the streets helps, also the prisons are very tough places here no?

You slacken them ones up and I think things could change somewhat.

Hopefuly they wont though.

Are prisons really tough here? Think I'd be less afraid of them here than back home.

But if we commit a crime, we'd be deported. Only with Koreans is the law lenient.
