I preordered a week or so ago at the global store. They told me it would be early Dec. Not so bad, I don't think. But as far as I know, no one is getting them much sooner. I understood that the first shipment to Korea wouldn't be for about three more weeks.
That was from the global store. |
Like I said before I was due to pick up a 4S white 16GB today but I cancelled it because I decided on the weekend that I would like a 32GB.
If you pre-ordered then how soon you can get it depends on your group number. I was in Group 12 but my girlfriend ordered later and is in Group 32. Have no idea what my new group is. |
I'm in group 21 I think and it's expected in the next week or two, I guess depending on the SCM. |

I ve heard a few complaints about the battery life in the Iphone 4S!!
It is supposed to be A LOT weaker than the Iphone 4.. which itself isnt amazing!
I would hold out a while were I thinking about getting the 4S to see how it goes!! |

The battery life problem is purely software related and only affects a small percentage of Iphones. There are numerous "fixes" out there for it. The most popular one is disabling "Automatic Time Zone Detection" in the settings.
The actual battery life on the 4S is slightly less than the 4 in talk time, but longer in standby. Considering the 4S has a dual core processor, double the number of antennas, and exactly the same form factor, its remarkable Apple was able to keep the battery life where it is.
There are many things to help make your phone last longer. 1. Turn down the brightness. The LCD screen on any device is the biggest power drain. 2. Turn off bluetooth or Wifi when you are not using it. 3. Disable location services for Apps that don't need it. 4. Turn off "push" for your email. |
