Hang on. So if we make one small amendment by removing the text in the below brackets the original text, it becomes accurate!!!

Not really responding to you, just quoting for reference.

Korean numbers also operate on a four digit block system while English runs on three.

In other words, once you have 999 of something in English, you go up to the next base value (thousand, million, billion), whereas you have to hit 9999 in Korean before hitting a new base value (만, 억, 조).
