Umm, most of what I recall is maybe some "Don't Litter" campaigns. But compare that to the deluge of Walk on the Right Side posters in every subway station, loads of commercial spots on TV about not smoking near kids, and so on.

America has PSAs but they're often about staying safe (anti-drug, don't get into strangers' vans, etc) rather than promoting good manners.

im all for it, even if its misdirected. Is there anything here that isnt? Im surprised at the campaign for money to find ENGRISH, but Im sure that will disappear quickly when the govt finds out they HAVE to pay foriengers for it.
Im sure theyll say "oh sorry, its only for Koreans..." lol

yeah, even parents dont seem to teach many things to the kids here.
they only are taught to know who is above them and defer and who is under them and dominate. of course, not everyone, but in my 11 years, I kind of think that..

good manners is all about their concept of neo-confucianism. its in line with it. that said, they do tend to have horrific public manners to a western viewpoint

Why do I have this sneaky suspicion that those in charge of the etiquette campaign, probably lack manners themselves.
