Hmm, you don't have to be married to a Korean? What if you have already done 2.5 years? Can you return to Korea for 2.5 more? Or, do you have to start the clock all over again?

If so, I wish I had known this.

5 years consecutive on the same status of sojourn.

New visa and the clock starts again.
