Just wanted to pop back in and say thanks again for all the replies and the great information. Reading tehdee's response gives a much-appreciated positive outlook on the situation. I especially have to agree that something such as an allergy should not stand in the way of allowing someone to achieve a dream, hence why I wanted to get as much information as possible before I commit 100% to study and application.

As for tehdee's forum/database for allergy-conscious travellers, I think that would be a great resource for anyone. Finding information as it has been so far has been fairly difficult, and I think a site such as that would fill an important niche. Ninja edit - tried to PM you about the site, but I still need to make a handful more posts before I can PM. Guess I should get on that.

Anyway, off to research into whether I fulfil visa requirements and into the reputability of some TESOL course providers. Thanks again, one and all![/i]
