Potential fosters/adopters: please make sure to put this dog's information online. I'm not sure whether the OP has made DOG FOUND posters as well but that's always a good idea. This dog appears to have been well cared for so it's possible it just wandered off and got lost as many dogs do. The dog and its owner deserve the chance to reunite.

OP - since you live in Gwangju it's just not possible for many of the readers of this forum to pick up and foster the dog. Try asking around at vet clinics to see if any will take the dog temporarily seeing as you can't keep it in your home. Many of them will take a lost dog in.

FYI... The OP has posted the dog's profile online, on the most widely used Korean sites as well as Animal Rescue Korea.

The OP had planned to post the dog's picture in the area she was found, but her students informed her that (at least in Gwangju) you can get in trouble if you don't phrase things just right. Since she doesn't speak Korean, the OP would have had to post a student's phone number and she decided she didn't want to get students in trouble if she didn't write the poster just right. So, the OP used as many other resources as she could to find the dog's owner.
