Airport limo bus - the bags go underneath. They load the bags onto the bus for you.
You get to the airport, they unload your bags and you put them on the cart (from the row of carts next to the bus unloading).
The only trouble is getting from your house to the limo-bus. Taxi is cheap for that.
Taxi out to the airport is just foolish (unless you like to throw money away).

I agree with this if traveling alone. However, for a family of three it makes more sense to take a taxi. It's cheaper than the bus and the service is door to door.

I got ripped off by a taxi driver a few weeks. I don't know if he was using the excuse of the icey conditions to charge me a lot. I ended up paying 80,000 won. Most cab drivers in Korea are rather honest, but some are swindlers out to cheat foreigners. I admit that it was my mistake not to have been more careful. I'd take a cab to the airport again only if I make sure the person quotes me a reasonable price in Korean. I just didn't see where I could take a bus from Yongsan, and I was coming from Jeollanamdo.

Agreed. We had 12 bags between us, so the minivan taxi was definitely the way to go.
There is an airport bus that stops about 12 feet from the front of my building. The time I used the taxi, I had screwed up and missed that bus and it wouldn't come back for another hour. I was running really late for my flight and the taxi driver did a fantastic job of getting me there in time. I wouldn't hesitate to use a taxi again if I were to mess up like that again. |
