I signed up for a free introductory Hapkido/Kumdo sword lesson. She beat me up pretty good.

Met him when we ended up at the same campus for study abroad in Tokyo during university. The school I went to has a campus there and his sends study abroad Japan students to my school through some kind of cooperative thing.

Of course it was pretty crap when we had to have a long distance relationship after that until we graduated, but we survived! Smile

Not sure about the bear, but I just started talking.

My wife saw that I had my seoul subway mini map out and she took a look to check her stop. We were on the platform at the time.

On the subway, I chatted her up and we got married like 2 years later.

But most "Interesting" goes to the guy who married his daughter. Ace.

We met at a dinner party.

We saw each other a few times in following weeks at various places and events (common friends).

Started takling and hit it off right away.

I met her mother a few months after we started dating and her dad a few months after that when I was invited at her brothers wedding.

Got married a year later...that was 13 years ago Smile

We now have 2 great kids (a son and a daughter), we moved to Canada in 2008 and I cannot imagine my life without her in it.

Cheers and good idea for a thread.

She worked at a coffee shop that had dark coffee and hot dog sets. In the 90's this was all I could have ever wanted in one establishment. Luckily she was there too!

Met her at church. She wasn't interested in me at all for a year and a half while we were friends but finally we started dating(secretly), married five months later. Married almost 3 years now. 2 kids who get way too much positive attention for their own good from people here.
