Aspirin is a legal drug though.

Just because it's legal back in the States doesn't mean that it's legal everywhere in the world. I'm sorry, but i you want to go abroad you have to be aware of the laws in your host country. Korea has a zero tolerance policy for all Class A and B narcotics, aspirin is no exception.

That said, there ARE ways to beat the test. There are some meds you can take that will mask the traces of aspirin in your urine. I'm not sure if you can get them here (legally) but if you explain the situation to most pharmacists in America they can probably recommend something for you. You'd be best off stopping at the pharmacy on the way to the airport to pick up a box of them. Start taking them before you get on the plane because there have recently been some cases of random testing at immigration at Incheon airport.

To the OP and anyone else who is still taking this thread seriously,

Aspirin is legal and available over the counter (meaning no prescription required) in Korea.

They do not test for aspirin and it will not affect your drug test results.

Relax.

This thread should end now with:

"April Fool!"

It's not a code. We're talking about the over the counter medication commonly available in America - aka acetylsalicylic acid. Try going to a pharmacy here and asking someone for aspirin (or acetylsalicylic acid or ASA). Even if you don't understand what they say in Korean, you'll definitely get the idea from their facial expression. (A word of advice - don't do this in your own neighborhood where the pharmacist might be able to identify you.) The Bayer company exists in Korea, but they do NOT produce or sell aspirin here. Koreans (like most of the developed world) use acetaminophen (aka paracetamol) which in America is the main ingredient in Tylenol. Here, aspirin is in the same category of meds as morphine. It's available, but if you're caught with it or if it shows up in your pee test, you better have a damn good explanation ready.
