| When it comes to Korean food, kimchi is the least nightmarish experience. Haemul-Tang is hands down the worst dish I have ever seen, smelled or tasted. |

I was thinking to myself once, "what the heck happens in one's intestinal track during the digestive process with Haemul-Tang if it can make it there to begin with..." and then I almost lost my lunch. |

I think live shrimp is the worst... watching the ajumma rip the heads off of squirming shrimp and then watching my friends eat the wriggling tails... I try to give all foods a chance, but I could barely watch them eating and had to pass... luckily the place also sold cooked shrimp, so... that was much better ^.^;;; |

Exactly what I was thinking... Even really good kimchi can become overpoweringly sour if it's old |
Yes, flavor explosion!! I believe the old sour kimchi is specifically used in kimchi chigae for its awesomeness. I eat it every Sunday morning, dats da way I roll yo. |

Yummy. Have you by chance witnessed the chowing of live octopus? The tentacles grab the eater's face in an attempt to pull free. Sad really, but oh so tastey! |

You know, maybe if you found the right plastic surgeon, they could actually make you look Korean. The eyes and the hair and everything. It must just kill you how even despite all your flailing efforts to integrate into this society--claiming to like Korean foods that even soomin won't eat! Going more apologist than Steelrails!--the average Korean on the street will think you're just as much a foreign barbarian as I, enthusiastic eater of Doritos and Subway loofah sandwiches; as foreign as someone like me who doesn't understand Korea's language or its tendencies and doesn't want to.
Doesn't that annoy you? How even with all your trying to be the good foreigner, it will never really take? You'll never be one of them. Only, always, a foreigner. Do you even understand that? Do you care? |

Oh, how sad it must be~ to live in a country where you don't like the food ;.;
Also... what is a loofah sandwich? Or... do you use your sandwich as a loofah? I'm not a "real 'merican" so I don't know~~~ *resisting urge to post more emoticons* |

I feel more sorry for his angry sentiments. How can someone enjoy life when everything is always viewed from the perspective of half-empty versus half-full?
I do hope one day people like Modernist can appreciate certain things about life, but unfortunately this is something that the individual must do on their own... |
