I don't understand [really!] why people use those ridiculous point cards. What do you get that makes them worth the bother of carrying them and remembering to use them?

I have no interest in having a Korean credit card [although I would take one of those Costco Amex ones, if I could ever figure out how to finalize the application].

I call on all of you of the bloated wallets! Join me and purge yourselves of the meaningless or unused plastic! Don't carry six different debit cards! Realize that 3 separate American cards is overkill in Korea! Know that you don't buy enough from Olleh [do you?] to merit carrying their card! Don't succumb to the dubious charms of the 'OKCashbag'! Realize that shopping at Family Mart or eating at Bennigan's does not require use of a matching card!

You'll be struck at how liberating it is. Really.

I'll Bite,

-stamp card wise, I dont carry any around however my wife does but only carries the ones were going to use that day. For example a coffee stamp card or a a restaurant stamp card. Why use the Card? A free Coffee or free Hors d'oeuvres once in a while is a nice treat for repeat costumers...
..

you got that part right. Lol! hahaha ^-^

Plenty of costumers in Korea alright! ; )

I carry the golden mean of cards necessary to reduce weight, conserve space, and allow a reasonable lifestyle. I brew my own coffee, and most of the pleasure I derive from life doesn't involve plastic.

Lotte and e-mart discount cards are the only really necessary extra plastics for everyday use for me and that brings a total of about 6 cards - slim packed - slimmer than the new Galaxy SIII Smile
