Songdo is boring. I can see why no one wants to live there.

I agree. It looks a bit like the city from Tron Legacy. It's not my cup of tea. It's also very flat as it's reclaimed land.

Having lived in Song Do for over a year now I can honestly say I would never live anywhere else (in Korea).
Not at all boring. I think anyone who says its boring has never actually been here, at least not in the last year or so.

What bars, parks etc. do you recommend?

The Christian theme park has been mostly dismantled last time I was there. That was a sight to behold.

As for bars, nothing special. It's not Itaewon.

I rode it to transfer to line 4 in Oido for Surisan (which was previously not possible). Everything runs smoothly. There's a nice view for during parts of the ride as well.

The depiction of the Songdo on the TV screens in the train cars is completely ridiculous though. They could have shown real shots of Songdo (which is actually pretty nice) instead of fake images of an imaginary utopia.

So, line 4 ends at Oido and you must transfer on to a different train? I'm just trying to picture this.

I rode the Suin line during summer vacation from Oido to Woninjae. You have to change platforms at Oido to transfer. The first station is Wolgot and there are many love motels very close to the station.
If you walk out the main exit and turn right at the main street, there are many excellent seafood restaurants in a row. The next station is Soraepogu and there are
some very good seafood restaurants that feature fresh fish. Next is Hogupo station which is next to NewCore and Homeplus.
When you transfer at Woninjae it is a very long walk to the Incheon line platform. Just know that before you go. HTH
