The Warriors came from Philadelphia to San Francisco.

Until 1971, when they moved to Oakland and changed their name to the stupidly sounding name of Golden State.

I don't think anyone that is a basketball fan liked that Seattle's team was taken from them. From what I saw it is and was a great city for basketball.

Yeah that wasn't very nice of them.

Why'd they do that, anyway?

As I remember, there seemed to be enough fans in the stands...well, maybe not in Durant's rookie year...man, Ray Allen used to be able to leap outta the building

The same reason sports franchises always move: Seattle politicians refused to give in to their threats and build them a publicly financed arena.

It's a solid sports market in general and to see them lose the Sonics and quickly become a top team in the NBA has to be throwing salt in the wound.

Especially when they're stuck with the M's...

Now, now, let's not forget that pinnacle of NFL franchises, the Seahawks.

I don't really follow football, I just know that most teams in the International League could outhit the Mariners (every year).

I always got the feeling that the M's problem lay in really bad clubhouse chemistry, starting with Ichiro openly blasting MLB players' hygiene...just felt like they never geled like when Junior was there

Except for when they won 116 games in his first year...

I can see what you're saying as to their chemistry, but I think their bigger issue has been a complete, almost willful inability to put together an offense in the last few years. Pitching and defense wins games, great, but you can't steal first. Clearing Ichiro needs to happen though, he's not producing and it's time to move on and start fresh.

The Tigers would like to say thanks for Doug "Anal" Fister being sent our way for a bag of balls and C. Furbush.

What any of this has to do with the Brooklyn Nets, I have no idea.
