Can anyone find a release date for Korea and/or Thailand? Google/IMDB/etc aren't giving me anything. (I'm gonna be on vacation for a week or so around the American release date, in Thailand, which is why I mentioned it)

Anyway, I'm sure I'll see it sooner or later, hopefully sooner.

Thailand July 19

You don't even have to go to a Korean site. imdb.com lists each country's release date.

Usually the case. But for some reason no date is listed for this movie in Korea.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I've found that in the past (and when I searched for DKR) that imdb doesn't (usually) cover Korea, for whatever reason.

Saw the movie today. If you liked the Dark Knight, you'll like this one. There are things I can nitpick, but overall, I liked it. I don't agree with the reviews that claimed it one of the best movies ever. Don't see how this stands up to the Godfather or how this is oscar worthy. Then again, lesser movies have gotten oscars.

I thought the opposite. I think Rise is better. I think the only thing Rise lacks in comparison is a stand out performance like Ledger's but overall, I prefer Rise as it dealt with some of the themes from the pervious movies better.

Nolan has completely nailed a PERFECT end to this series

Fantastic. Does this finally mean they aren't going to make any more Batman movies? Great news Laughing

I would say that there is plenty of room for a fourth movie... although I do agree that this neatly wraps up the storyline with regards to the first trilogy.

This movie was the 2nd on my list of movies of 2012 to see. I'm probably amped for TDKR as much as I was for Prometheus. But unlike Prometheus, it seems Nolan's conclusion to the Batman Trilogy isn't going to be an appalling disappointment.

I'm also looking forward to TDKR.

I think people are a bit harsh on Prometheus though. It was never going to live up to the ridiculous expectations placed on it. I thought it passed. It has a fresh rating in RT. Some people just don't like Sci-fi terror and I wouldn't be surprised if the same people who didn't like Prometheus also didn't like Pitch Black for example.

Pitch Black was a much better movie than Promethius. Don't get me wrong. I like the basic idea being presented in Promethius. The trouble is that it failed to live up to its own standards.

Based on cave paintings, people are going on a space expedition? There should be a stronger motivation than just that. A biologist throws caution to the wind and decides it is cute to pet an alien snake he knows nothing about? That makes him seem too stupid to be a scientist in my opinion. Well, you get the point.

He was. By far.

Anyway, I liked this one better than the other two, but it is nothing amazing. Still bloated with themes spoken out loud ad nauseam, and pretty crappy action (Nolan is not a good action director) but still generates a good amount of tension and is never boring.

The fist fighting in the entire Batman trilogy is horrible, but the action not involving fists are well done. Don't get how Nolan's supposedly not good with action. The chase scenes in Begins and the Dark Knight, and the shoot outs in Inception are all well done in my opinion.

The opening scene in Rise was pretty damn awesome. The scenes with Batman's plane were all well done too. After the Gordon-Levitt's fight scene in Inception, I'm convinced the Batman movies have a choreography problem.

That last "level" in Inception, the ice station, is so damn generic and poorly shot....

He doesn't cut action together very well.

One of the WORST films I've seen this year--and I've seen about 10 so far. BORING, WAY too much talking, blathering dialogue, not enough action or bat motorcycle scenes (which is clearly the best part) and not enough of batman himself. It was basically almost 3 hours of talking with a little shooting going on. They should have just started the movie at the football stadium scene, and even after then it was pretty lifeless. Just an all around boring film.
Save your money.
I give it a 4/10. Maybe 5/10.
The earlier Batman movies and Prometheus were 10 times better.
