What competition? I don't work anywhere an E2er could
I let them sleep.
Honestly, if they can sleep through my lessons, they must be pretty damn tired. I have a loud voice and I talk the whole class.
I feel bad for the kids. They're sick or exhausted from too many hagwons.
The only reason I would wake them up is if I thought I would get in trouble. |
You teach kids who fall asleep in class because they go to hagwans at night. That sounds like public school, or at least an after school program to me. How is that different from all the other E2ers? |
Congratulations stalker, you found the search function. Did you also read how I've been here for six years? I've done everything. Seriously, dude. You're a creep. |

As for finding a job in the U.S. when I graduate-- I will be in the application process for a specialized federal job that takes over a year, so I figured it would be a good opportunity to head abroad for the experience and to save some cash. I'll have to check with my school about the diploma issue, but from what I've seen, my friends have gotten theirs within a month or so from graduation.
I'll look into the China jobs as well. Is it pretty much true that if I have all of my documents together I should get a private school offer? What if I don't have the TEFL license (certificate?)? |
Just curious, what kind of specialized Federal Job are you looking at? |

What are you, some kind of retard? Did I say I had kids fall asleep in my class last night or something? It could have happened anytime in the past six years. God, stalk someone else. |

hmm, no. this is pretty much not true. many people, myself included were not met at the airport on their first sojurn. flight paid, yes. teacher training, no.
Korea in general is a sink or swim setup. some swim, some sink.
the point is tho you gotta get in the water to find out. |

When people use the present tense to describe a situation I usually assume they're talking about the present and not the past. If that makes me a retard I suppose I better get some language lessons. And by the way, ditch the tough guy talk, you're not impressing anyone.

You are truly insufferable. The question, as asked by the OP, was in present tense. "What do you do when kids fall asleep in your class". The answer, therefore, to be grammatically correct, should be answered in present tense. This is not a case of present tense describing the present time, but of describing habitual action. Normally I charge for English lessons, but that one you can have for free. |

You know it is possible to use a different tense when replying to someone in English. So, for example if someone says 'are you going to the gym today?' you can reply 'no, I went yesterday.' Similarly if someone asked me 'what do you do when kids fall asleep in your class?' I would probably reply 'I don't teach kids but I would probably.....' or 'I don't teach kids nowadays but when I did, I used to....' Otherwise the person who asked the question might think you currently teach kids. Just saying... |

I think it means they think your IQ is very low and your inadequate arguing is satisfying to watch.

Yes, teaching jobs are easy to get here. Providing you have all the required documents, there are many kindergartens desiring your services.
Enjoy! |

| It's Summer vacation season for the next few weeks so things are slower than usual. I should had thought of this before applying 11 times this past week with only one response. As in business, timing and patience are critically important. |
