Yo Modernist, your general tone in pretty much every post you make is pretty Anti-Korean. I have to ask, why are you still here? If I hated every minute and everything about my job and the country I lived in, I would leave. Yet you're still here.. you can't be that pathetic that earning $25k a year doing a job you hate in a place you hate is the best thing you have going for you?

Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't hate every minute and everything about my job or this country. First of all, I have one of the best ratios of pay to work that you could plausibly find teaching ESL. Second, I like most of my kids, most of the time. Sometimes they absolutely charm me.

I DON'T HATE KOREA. Seriously, people. What I can't stand is people pretending something bad isn't really bad, because just stating the obvious truth, that it's bad, is somehow rude or culturally inappropriate, or hurts the Koreans' feelings, or something. Be honest. Be accurate. Use judgement. That's what separates us from the baboons, you know.

And don't worry, I WILL be leaving. Once I've got my money as planned, as I've said, they won't need a police escort to get me on the plane.

Aww. I'm blushing. It's like Valentine's Day came early this year!
