I have been denied service at a restaurant here twice. Can I sue?
My friend was denied access to a sauna. Can he sue?
I have been told that I must get an AIDS test, but my gyopo mate from New Jersey doesn't need to bother. Can I sue?
The thing about this Holister story is this: They all got fired! Every last one of them. How many people at MBC got fired (or even reprimanded) over that 'foreigners are dirty and have aids' report a couple months back? |
I believe you can sue. I think thats what the Uzbek lady did. Same with Bonjit Hussein.
But then again, both of them are from countries without a culture of entitlement but one where you have to scrape to get a leg up. Instead of whining on internet forums they actually put words into action instead of looking around for some celebrity to take up their cause.
So yes, go and sue.

No they didn't.
First of all there were four models. Only two engaged in this behavior and got kicked out. |

Hollister stuff looks lame/cheap to me, but the Korean kids seem to kinda pull it off (maybe I'm too generous).
Whatever. |

| 'Cultural insensitivity'? That would imply that they didn't realize it would cause offence. This was just good old-fashioned 'taking the piss'. |

the couple noticed their hostess and another worker standing at the computer giggling and "gawking at them," according to the lawsuit.
When their hostess handed them their receipt, it had the word "Chinx" printed in the space reserved for the customer's name. |
I had the word "WEIGUKIN" printed on my receipt and I also got the same whispered awkward giggly treatment at a restaurant in Seoul once.
Can I sue? |
"Weigukin" means foreigner. "Chinx" is a racial slur. There's a difference. |

Debatable (and it has been ad nauseum here on Dave's). |
