| It's not really my neighbors but how the hell do I get the apple truck guy to avoid my apartment? |
I'd like to know too. This is by far my biggest pet peeve about living in Korea. The apple guy comes later but I've got a fish guy that starts before 7am. He wakes me up every morning (weekends, Christmas), I've wished for horrible things to happen to him.
Regarding OP..What did you end up doing? |
Try getting ear plugs.
OP- try writing them a note and pinning it to their door. Get a korean friend to write it for you if necessary. I've found that to be effective before. |

| I believe those trucks aren't allowed in residential areas. You could try going outside when they come around and say 신고할거에요 then take a picture of the plate. This also works when a cab refuses to give you a ride late at night. |

In my apartment, there is a wall-poster in the lobby and in the elevator from the superintendent's office of the aparment, that there are many civil complaints from residents about the noise from neighbors, so that people should consider their neighbors and should not make too much noise. I saw some foreigners living here too.
There was once big noise from my neighbor, who threw his furnitures against the wall, as if he would break his whole room and screamed for about 1-2 hours at 2-4am
I could have called the superintendent's office and filed a civil complaint the next day, but was worried at the same time, that if the crazy guy gets warning from the office, then he would suspect me, who lives next to him
So I did nothing, and after then.. at least till now he lives in silence and doesn't make noise anymore
I think maybe he by himself was embarrassed the next morning, what he did during the last night |

Wow, we are at the point where approaching one's neighbor and asking him/her to keep the noise down has become an anxiety provoking event.
Boy have we evolved as a species.
And what's the deal with furniture moving at night. Is this some type of Dave's running joke of which I'm not aware?
I know you're scared OP, but that's OK. You must first approach politely and if that doesn't work, go pound on the door every time/all the time until he stops.
Also, see if other neighbors are also being bothered and unite in arms against this person. |

+1
Just go to the neighbor with a note if you can't speak and hand it to him. Stand there while he reads it. Most Koreans when confronted by foreigners will do the right thing. |
