Oh jeez why are English teachers partying in a foreign land so darn serious. Confused

I like what Marlon Brando said, "in our last breath we will wonder hmm what was that all about (life), [shrug] who knows.".

Einstein said it good too, something like "I take comfort in knowing nothing man does is of any consequence".

Often, I have to question myself and ask myself "am I stagnating, comfortable, or am I missing anything I should be doing?"
When the answer isn't "comfortable", I find a new dream. That's why I'm here.

i do that sometimes too, like i'm 31 but i've smoked for a good part of my life and they say take a year off your life expectancy for every year you smoked, and even w/constantly being in good shape and exercising (i.e. i usually still outrun people and my cardio is good)

the way i factor is the fact that most men live until 75 and i figure w/smoking, i've lived about half of my life already and i question exactly what you said above, great post

but the only Major thing I haven't done on my list is get married & have kids ... which is kinda out of my control, since I haven't 'the one' & I don't take marriage lightly. If it happens, it happens. In the meantime, I'll live the life the best way I can.

i disagree, i think its totally in your control to actively go after seeking a family if you made it a priority. i came back to America for that specific reason instead of staying in Korea along with the many generous offers i got since my return which were much better jobs than my current situation

not sure if your male/female but after 40, the complications of having children go up dramatically. hope your a male seeking to marry younger or adopt but IMO, you have to actively work at it...i don't believe anymore that it'll just fall into your lap and at your age, if you really did take marriage seriously, you gotta work at it like anything else

Agree, I don't see the point of death. You're alive until you're not, and at that point you don't care anyhow.

What did we say about lecturing others about religion, getting into religious discussions? We don't want to repeat ourselves.
