And somehow that entitles you to spam the same message repeatedly?
Do you provide eggs with that spam?
For those of us who do know you and TROLLs of your ilk....
Your organization (MINBYUN) has, numerous times in the past, gone so far as to promote protests and incite riots (throughout the summers of 2002 and 2008 AS PRIME EXAMPLES) that endangered the safety and indeed the very lives of foreigners in Korea just because they were foreigners.
Your rhetoric boiled down to "foreigners are bad - get rid of them" and WE repeatedly paid the price for it.
Your previous rhetoric has shown you for what you are; radical nationalists who blatantly disregard the rights, safety and lives of the foreigners living in Korea in your zest for protection from the "foreign devils" and nationalistic pride.
Why would any foreigner in their right mind fill in your survey/"testimonies" and give you the opportunity to pillorize us again over this?
Can we expect diatribes, continued nationalistic rhetoric and indeed your sponsorship of "candle light vigils" (that turn into riots) this summer to rid Korea of the "disease infected foreigners" even though, unlike Koreans, we must prove (by medical testing) to be disease free?
You and your nationalistic organization should join ranks with rest of the "anti English Spectrum" nationalists and all burn in Hades for falsely presenting yourselves as open minded Koreans in a modern era.

They are trying to stop E-2 visa holders from being discriminated against. Do you have an E-2 visa? You make it sound like they are single handedly responsible for everything in 2002 and 2008. Five years have passed and just because you "don't think" it's possible they could help stop discrimination against E-2 visa holders doesn't make it so.
Why don't you tell us all about the terrible things that will happen to the E-2 visa holders that have and will provide them with their testimonines? Finally, do you have an E-2 visa? |

I don't believe that for a moment.

In a large part, they were.

Feel free to answer their questionnaire / fill in the "testimonial" but don't be surprised if you become a target or "example" (and not in a good way) next summer.
It's not that I don't think they can help stop the discrimination. It is more likely they will warp the data (as they have in the past) to inflame the population and increase the discrimination.

Nope. E7 now although I was on an E2 for just about 8 years before that. Same crap, different manure heap.
MINBYUN has never been anything but bad news for foreigners in Korea.
I don't see anything that has changed.
They are no different than the teacher hunting/harassing "Anti English Spectrum" crowd that also makes press on a fairly regular basis.

Before when? Have you ever been tested for HIV/AIDS in S. Korea? You said you "don't see anything that has changed" with Minbyung but when did you last look?
You contradicted yourself, first you said you don't "believe for a moment" that Minbyun is trying to help stop discrimination then you said "It's not that I don't think they can help stop the discrimination." Which is it? After which you made your prediction and spread fear. I've seen that kind of behavior by non E-2 visa holders MUCH in the past
Just to catch you up a bit, AES hasn't been "regularly" in the press for some time now. You're demonstrating much pessimism and you're full of predictions while at the same time fear mongering. While you're at it who will win next year's Super Bowl? |

Quit quoting out of context... you missed the important part...

which is in line with,
"I don't believe for a moment" that Minbyun is trying to help stop discrimination"
would you perhaps be a member or supporter of MINBYUN?
or worse,
just an idiot on an E2 that, unlike the majority of E2s, doesn't have the sense that ghod gave to green apples.
It would certainly explain a lot.

Why do you have to rely on personal attacks? Okay then, I'll take that as a "NO" you've never been required by Immigration or MOE to be tested for HIV/AIDS in S. Korea.
Why do you like stretching the 2002 and 2008 incidents from Anti-American to Anti-Foreigners, is it because not all E-2 teachers are American which fits your diatribe perfectly here?
Don't tell me as a Canadian you're Pro-American military and Pro-American beef? You're not really much different than Minbyun now are you?
Try backing up your comment here, show us how Minbyun was as you say "In a large part" single handedly responsible for both Anti-American incidents in 2002 and 2008.
I included your "context," which was just a bunch of fear mongering predictions right after the quote so I didn't really misquote you. |

So Los Angleloser, what exactly will Minbyun do with the data it collects, who will see it?
Do you think it is wise to send personal information to groups that do not clearly define/explain their purpose?
You seem to have great faith in the organization which suggests you are a member. |

Well rollo, all you have to do is read the first comment by the OP. But if you're to believe the pessimistic fear mongering Future-Teller ttompatz, then Minbyun will hunt me down and harass me like AES and also target me this summer and use me as an example. They will spin the data(like ttompatz has about 2002 & 2008) and send it to the UN Special Rapporteur. I suppose ttompatz also means that Minbyun will then tell the UN that S. Korea hasn't discriminated against E-2 teachers, isn't that right ttompatz? And finally Minbyun will tell the press that E-2 teachers had sex with the Korean nurses that took our HIV/AIDS blood and spread it to them.
Aren't you interested in knowing how the Anti-Americanism in 2002 & 2008 suddenly became the "Anti-Foreigners" revolt as ttompatz tried saying? It's like how the S. Korean banking crisis in 1998 became the "IMF," nice spin ttompatz. |

Uh! almost got beaten down in 2002 by a group of protesters. A Canadian friend/ co-worker was assaulted. they just saw a westerner and assumed he was American. he fortunately was not injured badly. So yeah i got an idea about the group that is asking for this information.
but why so defensive of a group that has such a bad track record Los Angeleloser?
You must be a member? The misuse of the word testimonies, the spamming of the board. Now the attacks on TTompatz who is just calling it like he sees it. You seem really angry that some posters called this group out.
The H.I.V. test only is an issue if a e2 visa holder can prove that it harmed them in some way. financially, damage to reputation so forth. Being embarrased is not somthing the u.n is going to really see as a horible violation of human rights
The gathering of information on a message board is not testimony in any shape or fashion. It is the gathering of information and you dont seem to have an explanation for what. Something about the U.N. right the U.N. is going to be overwhelmed that a group of teachers in South korea had to take a medical exam.
You are also asking e'2s to get involved in something that may be a visa violation and I am not talking about writing letters to the U.N. NO political activity for E2's what so ever.
So good luck with your crusade. Oh read Kipling about those who come to hustle the East. |

Do you want someone to apologize to you, your friend, and co-worker? Why didn't you do something about the "group of protesters" who almost assaulted you 11 years ago? You complain about the use of "testimony" but you get the word "embarrassed" mixed up with discrimination. |

I know a scam when I see it . What's up why are you so heavily invested in obtaining information from NET's ?
Why are you involved with this group that has caused trouble for foreigners in the past? |

I'm Canadian and I just happen to have on my desk two awards that I've received because of volunteer work I've done for the benefit of American soldiers (What have you done for your military?). As for American beef, I prefer Australian beef since it's sweeter and leaner. Mad cow disease transmitted to humans? Sheesh. There were just a few cases in the UK in the 90s. Big deal. You've got a better chance of being struck by lightning.
Don't make assumptions about Canadians. |

Pro-American beef??? In all my years abroad i have never heard of any Western person being either pro or anti American beef. Like 12x7 some prefer certain meats raised a certain way. I like Brazilian beef, and new Zealand beef, to me it tastes better, and I'm American. it ihas nothing to do with fear of disease. No the only anti -American beef people I know are koreans.
So anyway Los Angeloser as a Korean why are you collecting information on Nets? |
