wasn't there a song by tupac or ice cube called cave bitch? Movies shaming white people (White Girls for one)....no outrage there. And its because of the racial double standard I don't care about anymore if white people hurt other races' feelings

You're acting if race was a collective decision making body.

A lot of Blacks grow up where discrimination determines how they get jobs, where they go to school, etc. So when there is racial stereotyping they understandably (in a lot of cases, but not all) are defensive about it.

Whereas, I can't recall the last time one of my white friends was rejected from a club, school, or job because they were white.

There is a double standard because it's not exactly equal.

But your post is saying basically "Because one child hit the other child, it's totally okay for him to hit him back".

No, you stop both of them.

They actually use the term "slant eyes" in the song.

I'm no pc freak but that is racist.

Racist or not, the song just sucked, and that should be enough to reject it on those grounds alone. Racist, misogynistic, poorly written, poorly performed, and just painful to experience -- the only solid choice was to miniaturize the group and stick them in a bird cage. Here's hoping a cat eats them!

What if a Korean boy band did a song called "White girls"? I can imagine people here getting bent out of shape over that. And like people have mentioned above, "Black girls" sung by white dudes would not fly.

Whether it's racist or not comes down to your own opinion.
But the song is mind numbingly dumb and cringe worthy.

You don't really know the men around here too well, do you?

If such a song existed, mocking White girls, the white men here would be lining up to buy it and pushing it to the top of the charts.

What a pathetic excuse. So in other words it's ok to be as racist as they want to whitey because of the past--and better yet to whites today who 99% of us has nothing to do with perceived slights or job hiring them?

You're a fool.

That's not implied at all. You're jumping the gun a few logical steps here.

Racism is unacceptable in all cases. YOU were the one who said that discrimination was acceptable because of the white double standard.

Which is why I said, "But your post is saying basically "Because one child hit the other child, it's totally okay for him to hit him back".

No, you stop both of them."

Understanding before judgment.

Lacking clarity, and name calling isn't necessary. Keep it mature.

As an Asian, I'm offended by the horrible music.

Agreed. I don't think this is any worse than calling Canadians beer drinking, beaver thumping hockey nuts. And I think racism isn't what you say it's the sentiment behind the statement which makes it racist or not. Stupid yes, racist no.

That being said, they should be imprisoned for such bad bad music.

Could you define beaver thumping?

My first reaction to that video was why did that pretty woman have to disfigure her body to that extent with those horrible tattoos? (assuming they're real) Don't give a crap about the f...ckwits in the band but with her it struck me as a real shame. When is the public finally going to cotton onto the fact that the emperor has no clothes? It's just not a good look.

Not so impressed with the language used but c'mon, nobody laughed their way through it knowing it was intentionally created to be so OTT?

"Levy Tran, the "Asian Girl" in the video, apologized for participating in the clip on Twitter, while the band says they're totally not racist because --wait for it -- "the guy in the bow-tie, our cutie bass player, was born in Indonesia, and he steals the show!""

I'd be interested to know if anyone on here thinks she looks better with those tattoos than without. Bearing in mind that in a few years time, when all those colours fade most people's first reaction'll be she looks like she has some kind of skin condition.

Well, never saw her without them-never even heard of her before this for that matter.

I don't usually like tattoos on women, but I think she is a knockout.

Urban dictionary knocks her for being an airhead, but we are not discussing her I.Q., are we?
