In considering whether or not it's worth it to commute for so long, you have to decide what is the quality of the Hagwon or public school? In my opinion a public school would be worth the commute. Also how much are you getting paid? Is this the only job available for some time that's a good job? Only you know if your commute is worth it or not. I only did the commute in Thailand because at the time that is all that was available and I had to teach.

how much is your time worth? decide a value that you'd be willing to lose in a year then calculate how much an hour of your time is worth. make sure the amount of hours spent in transit does not exceed the total set value you were willing to lose.
for me personally i don't spend more than 20-30 minutes to work. my time is worth far more than the time spent sitting in public transit. |
