I talked about this shortly with my coworker and she agreed that america is koreas worst enemy. Not as a military enemy but more like a cultural enemy and that the US goes out of the way to put Korea down. She said that she watched a program on Koreans who were doctors in Korea but couldn't be doctors in US. These doctors had to get menial jobs instead. The impression i got was that the show lead her to believe that the US picks out korean professionals seperately from professionals from other countries and doesn't allow them to practice their profession.
I had to point out to her the US and Canada both do this and they only allow doctors from certain countries to practice. Doctors trained in developing countries aren't allowed to practice medicine unless they meet certain qualifications.
Most koreans opinions of the US are based on misinformation.
